Eligibility, Education Qualification & Experience

Additional Chief Fire Officer

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree with Divisional Officers Course / Fire Prevention Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur
    OR
  • B.E./B.Tech (Fire), B.E./B.Tech (Fire & Safety), B.Sc. (Fire), or equivalent from recognized university.
• Experience: Minimum 7 years of service in Fire Brigade, including 3 years as Station Officer / Assistant Divisional Officer or equivalent in Govt./Local Body/Board/Corporation.
• Other Requirements:
  • Basic computer knowledge (as per Gujarat Civil Services Rules).
  • Knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi.
  • Physical and medical standards as per Appendix-A.

Deputy Chief Fire Officer

• Education: Same as Additional Chief Fire Officer (Bachelor’s Degree with Divisional Officer Course or B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. in Fire & Safety).
• Experience: Minimum 7 years of service in Fire Brigade, with at least 3 years in Station Officer / Assistant Divisional Officer post or equivalent.
• Other Requirements: Same as above.

Age Limit

• As per rules of Surat Municipal Corporation.
• Relaxation applicable as per Govt. norms.

Salary

• Additional Chief Fire Officer – Pay Scale as per SMC rules.
• Deputy Chief Fire Officer – Pay Scale as per SMC rules.
