Eligibility & Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess any of the following qualifications recognized by the Indian Nursing Council:
- Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) degree, or
- Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) degree, or
- Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM), and
- Post Basic Diploma in Nurse Practitioner in Midwifery (NPM).
Additionally:
- Must have basic computer knowledge as per Gujarat Civil Services Rules, 1967.
- Must have adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
- Registration under the Gujarat Nursing Council as a Nurse Practitioner in Midwifery is required before appointment.

Selection Process & Exam Pattern
The selection process will consist of a Competitive Examination comprising two papers (Paper-1 & Paper-2) in CBRT/OMR mode.
Exam Details:
- Paper-1: Nursing & Midwifery subjects (100 Marks, 2 Hours)
- Paper-2: Management, Clinical Teaching, Research, Legal & Ethical Issues (100 Marks, 2 Hours)
- Total: 200 Marks, Duration 4 Hours
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 40% in each paper.
