Eligibility – Education Qualification & Experience
- Candidates must have passed 10th class (Matriculation) or its equivalent under 10+2 system with minimum 50% marks.
- Must possess a National Trade Certificate (ITI) in the relevant trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.
- Candidates awaiting results are not eligible.
Age Limit (as on 20/08/2025)
- Minimum Age: 15 years
- Maximum Age: 24 years
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years (15 years for SC/ST, 13 years for OBC)
- Ex-Servicemen: Up to 10 years (as per rules)
Salary / Stipend
- Selected candidates will be paid a stipend as per Apprentices Act, 1961 and Railway Board’s rules during the training period.
- No hostel accommodation will be provided.

Selection Process & Syllabus
- Selection will be based on merit list prepared from the average of marks obtained in 10th class and ITI.
- In case of tie:
- Older candidates will be preferred.
- If age is same, earlier matriculation pass-out will be considered.
- Final merit will be prepared trade-wise, division-wise, and community-wise.
