Eligibility, Education Qualification & Experience
As per the official notification:
Essential Qualification
Candidate must:
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following:
- Social Work
- Sociology
- Psychology
(Degree must be from a recognized university under UGC Act.)
- Possess basic computer knowledge as per Gujarat Civil Services Classification & Recruitment Rules, 1967.
- Have adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
No experience required unless mentioned in recruitment rules.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 35 years (as on 05 December 2025)
Age Relaxation (as per rules)
- General Female: +5 years
- Reserved Category Male: +5 years
- Reserved Category Female: +10 years (up to 45 years max)
- PwD (General): +10 years (up to 45 years max)
- PwD (Reserved): up to 20 years (max 45 years)
- Ex-Servicemen: Service years + 3 years
- Gujarat Govt. Employees: As per rules
Salary
As per Finance Department Resolutions:
- Fixed Pay for first 5 years: ₹40,800/- per month
- After successful completion of 5 years:
Pay Matrix Level-6: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400

Single competitive examination:
- MCQ-based CBRT / OMR Exam
- Total Questions: 210
- Total Marks: 210
- Negative Marking: ¼ marks per wrong answer
Exam Structure
Part A – 60 Marks
- Analytical Tests & Data Interpretation – 30 marks
- Numerical Ability – 30 marks
Part B – 150 Marks
- Constitution of India, Current Affairs, Gujarati & English Comprehension – 30 marks
- Subject-related questions – 120 marks
Minimum Qualifying Marks
- Part A: 40%
- Part B: 40%
