Eligibility, Education Qualification, Experience
Candidates must possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Library & Information Science / Library Science from a recognized university
- Basic knowledge of computer applications as prescribed in Gujarat Civil Services Rules
- Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both
No prior experience is required.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 35 years (as on 30-12-2025)
Age Relaxation (as per rules):
- General Category Women: 5 years
- Reserved Category: up to 10 years
- PwD candidates: up to 20 years
- Ex-Servicemen: Service period + 3 years
Salary
- Fixed Pay: ₹26,000 per month for first 5 years
- After 5 years: Pay Level-2 ₹19,900 – ₹63,200 (7th Pay Commission)

- Library Science Subject Questions – 120
