The Reserve Bank of India has officially released the RBI Assistant Recruitment 2026 (Panel Year 2025) notification. A total of 650 Assistant posts are announced across various RBI offices in India. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online from 16 February 2026 to 08 March 2026 through the official website.
Selection will be conducted through Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, and Language Proficiency Test (LPT).

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification (as on 01/02/2026)
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
- Minimum 50% marks (Pass class for SC/ST/PwBD candidates)
- Knowledge of word processing on PC
For Ex-Servicemen:
- Graduate OR
- Matriculation with at least 15 years of defence service
Language Requirement:
Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the state they are applying for.
Age Limit (As on 01 February 2026)
- Minimum Age: 20 Years
- Maximum Age: 28 Years
- Candidates born between 02/02/1998 and 01/02/2006 (both inclusive)
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 Years
- OBC: 3 Years
- PwBD: 10–15 Years (as per category)
- Ex-Servicemen: As per service + 3 years (max 50 years)
- Widows/Divorced Women: Up to 35 years (40 for SC/ST)
- RBI Experience: Up to 3 years

- Starting Basic Pay: ₹29,000/- per month

- Approximate Gross Monthly Salary: ₹58,514/-
- HRA (15%) if not staying in Bank accommodation
